ICICI Bank

ICICI Bank is the largest private sector bank in market capitalization in India and the second largest overall in terms of assets. It is one of the most popular and sought after private banks in India. ICICI (Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India) was established by the Government of India in the 1960s as a Financial Institution with the objective to finance large industrial project. It was not a bank earlier. In 1990s, ICICI founded a separate legal entity to start working as a bank and hence founded ICICI Bank.


ICICI Bank offers a wide range of products and services to corporate and retail customers through a variety of delivery channels and through its specialized subsidiaries and affiliates in the areas of investment banking, life and non-life insurance, venture capital and asset management. The bank provides a wide range of network of over 950 branches and offices. About 3500 ATMs are used by 24 million customers. The equity shares of ICICI Bank are listed in various stock exchanges in India. Its ADRs are listed on the New York Stock Exchange.



ICICI Bank is not only working in India, it has crossed the border to go international. It has set up its international banking group in fiscal 2002 . ICICI Bank has subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, Canada and Russia. There are branches also in Singapore and Bahrain. Representative offices are located in the United States, China, United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh and South Africa.

ICICI Bank offers a wide range of products to its customers which include Savings Account, Demat Account, Life Insurance etc. It also offers few modern age facilities like Phone Banking, Net Banking, Mobile Banking etc.
